Fusion Proxy vs Webshare: compare the right proxy plan
Webshare lists proxy-server, static residential and rotating residential plans. Match the product category before comparing its headline price with Fusion Proxy. A large list of datacenter IPs and a residential traffic allowance buy different things, even if both are used by the same script.

Which Webshare product are you comparing?
Start with the product name in the current subscription or quote. Webshare separates proxy servers, static residential proxies and rotating residential traffic. The number of IPs in a proxy-server plan is not the same unit as the gigabytes in a rotating residential plan. A low per-IP price does not tell you how much household residential traffic the order includes.
Fusion Proxy also offers different connection types. Residential traffic suits a client that needs selected regional household connections; dedicated ISP and datacenter products provide assigned addresses. Choose the category from the job: a recurring allowlist needs address continuity, while independent regional page checks may use rotating residential connections. Once the category is clear, compare the included bandwidth, assignment, location and paid period. This avoids a common purchasing mistake: selecting a plan because its headline number is small, then discovering that it is a different product from the one the application actually needs.

Use a free connection test for the right question
Webshare advertises ten free datacenter proxy servers without a credit card. That can help you check whether a tool accepts its proxy configuration and whether you can make a basic request. It does not, by itself, test the behavior of a paid rotating residential plan or a different static allocation. Keep the result attached to the product you actually tried.
Before using any trial, choose a small task with a clear result: connect the browser, verify the exit IP and open a permitted page. Read the traffic allowance and any trial or renewal conditions before enabling a scheduled job. Fusion Proxy’s trial is a separate offer with its own current terms, which should be checked on the trial page. For a fair comparison, test the same product category that you would buy afterward. If the intended order is residential traffic, include a residential test rather than treating a free datacenter result as the final answer.

Keep plan options beside the price
Webshare’s rotating residential page shows a discounted 10 GB plan at $27.50 per month. Fusion Proxy’s published 10 GB residential tier is $2.13 per GB, totaling $21.30 for a prepaid traffic purchase before any checkout adjustments. Put the subscription period, current discount, taxes and handling of unused traffic next to those figures. The comparison should state what each amount buys instead of describing one rate as universally cheaper.
For proxy-server or static plans, also record the number of addresses, bandwidth choice and any options selected during customization. Webshare’s product pages describe configurable plan settings, so a base price should not be assumed to include every desired option. On the Fusion Proxy side, confirm the current location stock and the paid allocation period. Price the setup you intend to run for the same length of time. If a feature changes the order total, keep it in the worksheet rather than leaving it in a footnote that the buyer is unlikely to see.

Check assignment and renewal for a static address
For a job that depends on a fixed address, ask how that address is assigned and what happens when the paid period ends. Save the IP used for the trial and reconnect from the application later. If a firewall or partner system needs to allow it, confirm who will update that allowlist and how much notice the team needs before a change.
Fusion Proxy’s ISP product describes dedicated IPv4 allocations for renewable 30-day periods, with bandwidth included. Webshare lists static residential options and bandwidth choices, including plans described as up to unlimited with fair-use conditions. Compare the particular selected plan and its assignment details, not only the static label. Check current country availability for both products. A country offered in a rotating residential pool does not guarantee that a static address is available there. Keep the final lease period, allocation count and renewal responsibility with the application’s configuration notes so the next operator understands what the job depends on.

Verify targeting on the product you will buy
Webshare’s rotating residential page lists country, city, state, ZIP and ASN targeting. Fusion Proxy’s standard residential product documents country, state and city choices. If a project names a particular network or postcode, treat that as a requirement to verify rather than assuming a country selector is equivalent. Check the exact menu and connection options available for the intended plan.
Use the target website to complete the location check. A store’s account address, delivery postcode or language preference may affect the result independently of the proxy. Save those settings along with the requested location and exit IP lookup. For a report covering several markets, run a few examples in each market and inspect the resulting currency and page content. Keep a note of lookup disagreements so support can investigate a specific example. This is more useful than selecting a provider from the total number of advertised countries, which says little about one narrow location needed at a particular time.

Copy the connection format your client expects
Check whether the application expects a single gateway, an uploaded list of proxy addresses or separate host, port, username and password fields. Export or generate the format intended for that client. Keep a working Webshare configuration unchanged while you add a Fusion Proxy test configuration, and do not overwrite the only saved copy of a running job’s settings.
Verify the new connection with an IP-check request from the application itself. Then visit a representative page and inspect the response. A browser extension and a command-line script can use different proxy settings even on the same computer, so test each client that will be part of the move. If a format is rejected, check delimiter order and the selected protocol before changing other settings. Store credentials securely and leave only the non-secret configuration in the project notes. Once the basic example works, add the real page list and confirm that subsequent requests use the intended connection too.

Match request volume to the configured plan
Decide how many simultaneous requests the application actually needs. Begin with a small number and increase only after the sample produces correct results. Record transferred data and completed output as you change concurrency. More active requests can increase retries or download the same content repeatedly, which makes a larger thread allowance a poor substitute for a working job.
Webshare’s proxy-server pages describe configuration choices such as bandwidth and threads. Compare the selected limits with your usage rather than assuming every plan includes the largest setting. Fusion Proxy’s metered residential product should likewise be evaluated using the traffic the real client transfers. A browser downloading full pages and images will have a different usage pattern from a script requesting compact responses. Follow the destination’s access limits and keep error handling clear. If a larger run costs unexpectedly more than the sample suggested, inspect repeated requests, page changes and browser resource loading before simply buying a larger plan.

Inspect the data behind a successful request
Build a short sample around the output your team needs. A stock check might require the correct variant, availability, seller and time. A regional quality-assurance check might require a visible page element and a screenshot. Include at least one missing or unavailable item so the application’s handling of exceptions is tested as well as the ordinary path.
Use the same page list, client version, location and resource-loading settings with both providers. Check a few completed records against the source page and keep errors separated by cause. A response code can indicate that something loaded without proving that the expected product or market appeared. Keep the traffic used and the time spent correcting failed results with the trial notes. The comparison then reflects the cost and effort of producing usable output for your application. It does not require invented provider scores or a general claim that one network is always faster, safer or more successful.
Change one schedule and check the next run
Select a job with a clear output and a predictable schedule. Keep its old Webshare configuration securely available, generate the new Fusion Proxy connection and run a complete trial with the same extraction code. Compare records before allowing the new run to update a live report. Where the job performs account actions, use a reversible test step and avoid running both versions at once.
After the change, review the next scheduled runs and compare traffic usage with the trial estimate. Retain a rollback configuration until the new behavior is understood. Other jobs may still need the old subscription or proxy list, so inventory those uses before changing billing or removing access. When the move is complete, revoke credentials that are no longer used and update the application notes. Changing a proxy setting does not cancel a Webshare plan or transfer a paid allowance. Handle that account decision separately after confirming which work remains on each provider.
When is Webshare the closer fit?
Webshare can be a sensible choice when its configurable proxy-server quantities and plan options match a bulk datacenter task, or when an existing residential or static setup already produces the required results. Its free server offer can also help with an initial connection check. Keep the distinction between that test and the final product clear when you report the result to a colleague.
Fusion Proxy can be worth evaluating when you want a prepaid residential purchase for your own client or a dedicated static allocation that matches the job’s location and duration. Choose using a current quote and a real sample, with the relevant options recorded for both providers. If you are moving from a list-based configuration, check the new client format before increasing the order. Describe the product category, desired market, session needs and expected traffic when requesting setup help. Those details make it possible to assess a Webshare alternative against the work you actually intend to run.
