What is my IP address?

See the public IP your browser is presenting to the rest of the internet, along with the network operator, country, browser, and the request headers our servers received.

Public IP & reverse DNSCountry, ASN & operatorBrowser & OSCurated request headers

We never log your IP to our long-term storage from this tool. Lookups are processed in memory and discarded after the response is sent.

What this page can tell you

Whether you're behind a proxy or VPN

If the country, ISP, or ASN looks unfamiliar, your traffic is probably being routed through a different network than you expect.

What identifying headers your browser sends

The headers panel shows what our edge sees on every request β€” useful for verifying that custom headers in your client are actually arriving.

Your apparent geographic location

The country and city values come from a public IP-to-location dataset and approximate where the network considers you to be.

The network you appear to be using

The ASN and operator name make it easy to confirm whether traffic is going through your home ISP, a mobile carrier, or a data centre.

How the lookup works

  1. Your browser asks our edge. A small request is sent to the diagnostics endpoint over HTTPS.
  2. The edge reads only what it needs. The IP is taken from the connecting socket and the User-Agent from the request headers.
  3. We enrich the IP. The address is matched against a public IP-to-country and IP-to-ASN dataset to fill in the country and operator fields.
  4. We send the result back. Nothing is persisted. The response is the only place this data exists.

Frequently asked questions

Why does this page show a different country than where I am?
Public IP-to-country datasets reflect the network registration of the address, not your physical location. If you are behind a VPN, proxy, or corporate gateway, you will see that network’s registered country instead of your own.
Is this an anonymity test?
Not on its own. It tells you what your IP looks like to the outside world, which is the first signal an anonymity test cares about. A complete check would also include WebRTC and DNS leak detection.
Do you save my IP address?
No. The IP is read from the connecting socket, used to render this response, and never written to long-term storage. Anonymous request counters are kept for rate limiting only.
Why is the city missing or wrong?
City-level accuracy from public IP datasets is limited and often returns the registration city of the ISP rather than yours. Treat country as reliable and city as approximate.
Can I use this from my own application?
The endpoint is intended for the page on this site. If you need a programmable lookup, the Fusion Proxy dashboard provides one tied to your account so you can trust the rate limits.
