Residential proxies route your requests through real IP addresses assigned by Internet Service Providers to homeowners and mobile users. When a website receives your request, it sees a household connection from a consumer ISP in the target country, not a datacenter server. This is what makes residential proxies effective for accessing data from sites that block commercial IP ranges.
Fusion draws these IPs from a third-party residential pool of real household connections. We do not publish pool sizes per country or city, and which consumer ISP an IP belongs to varies from request to request, so we never promise a specific provider. What you control is the target location and the session type.
What you notice day to day is rotation. In rotating mode each new IP comes from the pool, so a slow or blocked address is simply replaced by another one on the next rotation instead of holding up your job. Retrying a failed request on a fresh IP is usually the quickest fix.
Geo-targeting works by country, state and city, and for some cities, such as Seoul, you can also pick a district. This matters for localized SERP tracking, geo-specific pricing research, and ad verification campaigns that need location-specific results.
Session control gives you two modes. Rotating mode switches your IP automatically from the residential pool, which is ideal for high-volume data collection where you want maximum IP diversity over time.
