Overview Introduction

The Endpoint Generator is your primary tool for creating proxy endpoints in the Fusion Proxy dashboard. It allows you to configure authentication, rotation settings, geographic targeting, and output formats - all in one place.

Step 1 Accessing the Endpoint Generator

To access the Endpoint Generator:

  1. Log in to your Fusion Proxy dashboard
  2. Navigate to "Residential Proxies" from the sidebar
  3. The Endpoint Generator tab is selected by default
πŸ’‘
Tip: Make sure you have purchased a data plan before generating endpoints. The generator will show "Inactive" if you have no available bandwidth.

Step 2 Authentication Settings

Your proxy credentials are displayed in the Authentication section. These are read-only for security:

  • Username: Your unique proxy username
  • Password: Your proxy password (can be rotated in Account Settings)

Click the copy icon next to each field to copy the value to your clipboard.

⚠️
Warning: Never share your proxy credentials. If you suspect they have been compromised, rotate your password immediately in Account Settings.

Step 3 Location Settings

Target specific geographic locations for your proxy requests:

  • Country: Select from 190+ countries
  • State/Region: Available for countries with regional targeting
  • City: Target specific cities within a state (where available)

Leave fields empty for automatic optimal routing.

ℹ️
Note: City-level targeting may have limited availability in some regions. The proxy will fall back to state or country level if the specific city is unavailable.

Step 4 Session Settings

Configure how your proxy sessions behave:

Session TypeDescriptionBest For
RotatingNew IP for each requestWeb scraping, data collection
StickySame IP for specified durationAccount management, shopping carts

Step 5 Sticky Session Duration

When using Sticky sessions, set the duration your IP will remain the same:

  • Minimum: 1 minute
  • Maximum: 120 minutes
  • Use the +/- buttons or type directly
πŸ’‘
Tip: For account logins, 10-30 minutes is usually sufficient. For checkout flows, consider 30-60 minutes.

Step 6 Protocol Selection

Choose your connection protocol:

  • HTTP/HTTPS: Standard web protocol, works with most applications
  • SOCKS5: Lower-level protocol with better performance for some use cases
ℹ️
Note: SOCKS5 uses a different port (5390 for residential). The generator will automatically adjust the port when you switch protocols.

Step 7 Generating Proxy Lists

Use the Formatted Proxy List section to generate multiple proxies:

  1. Select your preferred format
  2. Enter the quantity (1-5000)
  3. Click "Generate"
  4. Copy or download the list
FormatExample
hostname:port:user:passresi.fusionproxy.net:12286:user:pass
user:pass@hostname:portuser:[email protected]:12286
scheme://user:pass@host:porthttp://user:[email protected]:12286

Step 8 Testing Your Proxy

Use the displayed cURL command to test your proxy configuration:

BASH
curl -x http://resi.fusionproxy.net:12286 -U "username-country-us:password" ipinfo.io
πŸ’‘
Tip: The ipinfo.io service will show you the IP address and location of your proxy connection.

Summary Conclusion

The Endpoint Generator simplifies proxy configuration by providing a visual interface for all settings. Once you've configured your endpoint, you can copy the settings directly into your application or download a formatted list for bulk use.
